Paul McCartney – Comin’ Up

After watching Sydney’s New Years Eve fireworks the other night, I switched over to Rage, and was reminded of just how terrible this video really is. There’s way too many ‘ooh’s, Linda McCartney’s pointing is unnecessary, and Paul’s incessant grinning is just plain ridiculous.

It’s certainly no Long & Winding Road, but it isn’t the Frog Chorus either… & neither is it ‘The Girl Is Mine’ thank goodness!

What excellent blue screening. I wonder what made them think they could do a three and a half minute clip with multiple blue screened McCartney’s that basically goes nowhere. If the song went for two minutes, it might have held up, but we just keep getting
- shot of McCartney in fake beard looking wacky while drumming
- shot of saxaphonist out of time with the rest of the horns
- shot of McCartney bobbing and singing
- repeat
