Hey there, it’s almost the new year and we know what that means, don’t we?! YES! It means that I’m bored with nothing to do, and that usually means getting grand plans into my head which very rarely come into fruition! This time, the grand plan is restarting this blog. I have important ideas which must be shared!
Well, not really. I actually have no idea. My head is empty and the emptiness is surrounded by blank concrete walls. Someone’s C&B’d them because it’s been derelict for so long. Good job, you.
This blog ran from mid 2004-early 2009, moving from Livejournal to WordPress (with a short stint on Tumblr), and I usually managed to update it at least once a month if lucky, but the simplicity of Twitter (hey, twitter.com/halfgoon) pretty much made it redundant. Posting crap with less effort? Yes please! However, this meant no more blathering on, which I think is quite obviously a strength of mine. Hence a return (well, a plan to return) to a real blog.
Also, I really want to do my top twenty albums of the year. I didn’t get to do it last year due to being without internet for most of December & January, and I miss pontificating on music. By ‘pontificating’, I of course mean ‘being a horrible fanboy about my favourite bands regardless of whether they released a good album or not’.
So that’s it. The half blog returns. I think for Christmas I’ll get it some uppercase lettering.
